Capabilities & Certifications
If you need a standard cable assembly or a unique solution that no one has been able to engineer, look no further than Meridian Cable.
Complete cable design
We produce cable and cable assemblies for just about every industry and application imaginable. Whether you have an existing, preliminary design that could benefit from our industry knowledge or need a design for a cable assembly, our engineers can assist you.
We extrude cable and cable assemblies to the most exacting specifications and requirements, meeting the highest-quality standards. Starting with the individual copper strand, we build cable from the beginning, manufacturing in quality at every step. Our focus is on conductors from 6 to 36 gauge, and we can make cables with diameters as large as 0.78.” The materials we use range from basic polymers to engineered plastics — from PVC to PTFE. We produce what you need.
Insert and over molding
We use insert molding and over molding on a wide variety of our products. Insert molding improves a product’s functionality, durability and appearance by covering areas of the cable assembly with plastics such as PVC, PP, TPEE and TPR. We design custom over moldings for connectors, strain reliefs, grommets, Y junctions and many other applications
Computerized testing
We use advanced equipment and techniques to inspect and test every product to ensure it meets the most exacting performance requirements, so that our customers receive a quality product each and every time. Our factory has automated Cirrus testers and can build functional testers for more advanced applications.
Coil cords
We create custom coil cords from raw cable that we extrude. Our production process includes coil cord fabrication, attaching components, over molding and full lifecycle testing to ensure that the coil cords perform to your specifications. We can build coil cords from 2 inches to more than 4 feet long. Combined with our in-house extruding expertise, we can deliver a coil cord that is right for you.
Sonic welding
Sonic welding is a process used to join two plastic parts together without glue or fasteners. We use this advanced technology to efficiently and cost-effectively optimize the quality of our products. Our engineers can design housings to be sonically welded or assist your team in seeing a design to completion.
Soldering to .015″ pitch
We have the technology and skilled work force needed to meet the most precise soldering specifications — to within .015″. We solder high-density connectors for medical, aerospace and military applications as well as for other fields.
Bar coding and labeling
We use in-house equipment to label individual parts with serial numbers and to bar code bulk packages.
RoHS
Restriction of hazardous substances-compliant manufacturing
We have dedicated areas, equipment and production lines that focus only on making RoHS-compliant assemblies. You can specify RoHS manufacturing for any order you place with us.
