For more than 25 years, Meridian Cable has been designing and manufacturing cable assemblies across many industries, from broadcasting and telecommunications to retail security and industrial controls. Our expertise lies in custom solutions—in fact, more than 70 percent of the products we produce, we design. We excel at product start up, from qualification samples to prototype runs to full pre-production testing and finally volume manufacturing.
Offshore Manufacturing
Meridian Cable is U.S.-owned and –managed with manufacturing facilities in China. Our production facilities are wholly owned and controlled by Meridian, which ensures customer confidentiality and consistent, high-quality production. This gives our customers the best of all worlds—exceptional local customer support and seamless production and delivery. We have engineers both stateside and in our factories overseas, so we can assist in the design process and/or offer recommendations and consultations. Then products can be shipped to any location you choose, worldwide.
Design
We have more than 5,000 existing tools for connectors, junctions, overmolds and housings for cable assemblies for use within industries from automotive to film and military to industrial controls. Therefore, chances are we already have tooled what you need. But if not, our highly-experienced design team is ready and able to assist in your product development.
Rare is the product that goes from concept to millions without steps in between. We expect to do prototypes as part of all of our design projects and have the capability to prepare small lots for either approval or concept verification.
We can offer value-added services: through our on-staff engineers, sourcing capabilities, production in China, US warehousing with KanBan capabilities. We own our Chinese facility and have direct communication with them, and more importantly control the quality and process procedures. Once designed and specified your product will not change. Capable of direct shipments to your Asian assembly vendors.
All our products are 100% tested for continuity, integrity, polarity and functionality before shipping. In addition, we have our own advanced life testing lab to help qualify new designs. Additionally, we can work with you to get any product certified through most certification agencies such as UL.
We extrude our own cable so we can alter our specifications based on customer need. We build our cable assemblies starting with the first, individual strand of copper.
