In 1980, in a small office park in Wheaton, Illinois a company was founded that today is Meridian Cable.  For 25 years Bud Kinzalow, Owner & President of Meridian Cable has been leading a company/manufacturer focused on making custom cable assemblies and coil cords.

Bud’s first job was over molding connectors on a variety of cables, coil cords and wires.  At that time, there were only 8 employees and Bud was the 3rd shift during his breaks from engineering school.  After college, Bud started full time and has been designing products and solutions for Meridian Cable customers ever since.  His experience designing custom cable assemblies, coil cords, over molded connectors and wires has lead to Meridian Cable’s philosophy of OFF SHORE – IN SPEC – ON TIME ™.

OFF SHORE – IN SPEC – ON TIME ™

Our company motto is Off Shore – In Spec – On Time™, and by following this philosophy each day, Meridian Cable excels in its focus.

Our production facility is in Tianjin, China – this is the “Off Shore” part of our motto.  Bud set up this factory in 1994 with the help of Allen Chen, the factory’s General Manager, and it has been run by the same management team ever since.  That means Meridian Cable has been doing business in China with a factory that we own for fifteen years.  So even if your company is new to off-shore manufacturing, we’ve been doing this for quite a while.

The second part of Meridian Cable’s motto is “In Spec”.  That means we can manufacture to your precise specifications and also produce a high quality product.  We are ISO 9001 certified, and have been since 1999.  Our wire extruding facility produces UL certified wire and cable, and our production facility is also UL approved.  In addition, we have passed quality audits from customers in many industries, including medical equipment, industrial controls, military, security and telecommunications.  We would put our factory and its management team up against any other factory anywhere in the world, and would welcome you to do the same.

The last part of our motto is “On Time”. While our factory may be in China, our sales staff, engineers and customer representatives are located in the US.  So even though the factory is in China, our US based sales and engineering team is available to communicate with you during your regular office hours.  We are able to speak with our factory in the morning, work with our customers throughout the day and then talk again with our factory that evening.  We put in the time to make sure your parts are on time.
